Alice Lloyd bounced back from a disappointing series loss to IUS by hosting New River on Sunday, April 10. Coach Scott Cornett’s Eagles played well in the non-conference matchup and earned a split.{nl}GAME 1{nl}NR-5; ALC-1{nl}New River posted three runs in the first inning and held on for the win. ALC’s Carter Sibley and Taylor Sewell each had two hits apiece. Nick Grey was handed the loss on the mound.{nl}GAME 2{nl}ALC-16; NR-8{nl}The Eagles exploded for sixteen runs on fifteen hits. Jordan Stumbo paved the way as he smashed a homerun and double in going 4-5 and driving in four runs. His buddy Josh Napier went 3-4 with two RBI’s to assist in the hit parade, and got additional two hit help from Adam Adkins and Carter Sibley. Trey King earned the win on the mound.{nl}NOTES {nl}# Tyler Dotson is leading the team in highest batting average as the sophomore is currently hitting .385.{nl}# Junior Kyle Potter has 23 RBI’s to lead that department. He has also hit 4 home runs.{nl}# Pitcher Trevor Corns has a team low 2.86 ERA, and also has recorded 20 strikeouts.
