Jordan Maggard: Working Hard to Reach His Dreams
Jordan Maggard, from Viper, Kentucky, been very successful since graduating from Alice Lloyd College in the spring of 2009 with bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. Jordan is now a staff pharmacist at CVS Health in Hazard, Kentucky.
June Buchanan Names Wes Smith New High School Boys’ Basketball Coach
Wes Smith was introduced today as the new boy’s high school basketball coach of the June Buchanan Crusaders. He replaces Elisha Justice who took a new position in Pike County. Smith inherits a program that advanced to the 14th Region Tournament Semi-Finals this past season and won 20 games.

ALC Dedicates Bettinger Center for Servant Leadership
On Saturday, October 10th, Alice Lloyd College held its Annual Appalachia Day Homecoming. The day was full of festivities, sports events, music, and delicious food. Throughout the day many great memories were made as people enjoyed celebrating ALC’s history and reminisced on their time spent at the college. The past and the future merged even more so this year as Alice Lloyd College marked the completion of its newest building. The college held the dedication of the Donald J. and Coralen B. Bettinger Center for Servant Leadership during this year’s Appalachia Day.
Alice Lloyd College Athletics Welcomes Three New Members to Hall of Fame Class of 2015
On Saturday, October 10, 2015 Alice Lloyd College inducted three former athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place on the college campus at the Grady Nutt Athletic Center as part of the annual Appalachia Day Homecoming activities.
