Prepared to Succeed: Dr. Cody Reynolds
Dr. Cody Reynolds grew up in Phelps, Kentucky – a small town teetering on the edge of the Kentucky and West Virginia border. In high school, Cody was recognized as a Kentucky Governor’s Scholar, opening up the opportunity for scholarships to collegiate institutions statewide. However, something about Alice Lloyd College stood out to him – something about Pippa Passes felt like home. “Another small town with roots in service that quickly became the theme of my life,” he says.
ALC’s Third Annual Alumni Purpose Day
Alice Lloyd College hosted its third annual Alumni Purpose Day on June 11. Although distance and pandemic health guidelines separated alumni from each other and the College, the day was spent reconnecting through social media and sharing memories of time on the ALC campus.

It is undeniable that the atmosphere of Alice Lloyd College is unique in many ways. High school sweethearts, Jonathan and Brittany (Carter) Lyons discovered this while students on the ALC campus. Alice Lloyd College Athletics Welcomes Three New Members to Hall of Fame
On Saturday, October 12th, Alice Lloyd College welcomed three individuals into its Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place in the new Campus Center Complex as part of the annual Appalachia Day Homecoming activities. This year’s inductees were: David Hatfield, Jeremy Osborne, and Kaylan Richardson Centers.
Alice Lloyd College Celebrates Alumna and Alumnus of the Year
On September 20th, Alice Lloyd College held the twenty-third annual Alumna and Alumnus of the Year Banquet in the historic Cushing Hall. The banquet honored two alumni for their endearing service. Margo Sparkman (Class of 2004) and George Nichols III (Class of 1980) gathered with family and friends to reflect on how their lives exemplify the core values of the Purpose Road Philosophy.
