The Lady Volleyball Eagles competed in two tri-matches this weekend against Johnson University, Welch College, and Appalachian Bible College. We are proud to say that our girls brought home several victories, and yet again showcased all the amazing talent and teamwork that they all have developed.

The first game on Friday, September 23 held in Mt. Hope, WV, was a total sweep for ALC over the hosts from Appalachian Bible College, as the Eagles took all three of the sets for a quick victory.  Sam Sturgill led in attacks, blocks and serving while Amber Reynolds came out with the most digs.

The Lady Eagles also took on Welch College on Friday. After a hard fought game, Alice Lloyd came away with yet another victory. Sam Sturgill led in attacks while Alex Hunter had the most assists, Haley Smith had the most kills on the game and Lindsey Perkins had the most digs and blocks.

On Saturday, September 24 the Eagles journeyed to Knoxville, TN and competed with Welch College and Johnson University. ALC came up a little short this time when they played Welch. It was a hard fought battle having to be determined by the fifth set. Sam Sturgill had the most attacks, Alex Hunter had the most assists on the game, Ariel Williams led in serving, and Haley Smith had the most digs.

After this grinding match, they took on the hosts of Johnson University. Even though all match scores were tight, the home club snatched the victory. For Alice Lloyd, Sam Sturgill kept up her solid play and once again led the team in attacks. Haley Smith had the most serves on the game.  Alex Hunter was a team player dishing out the most assists and Lindsey Perkins had the most digs.
