BEREA, KY: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles softball team traveled to Berea for a 2 game doubleheader over the weekend. Below are recaps of each game.


February 28

Game 1

Berea 8; ALC-0

Berea College’s Katelyn Blair stole the show on Sunday, pitching a no-hitter in an 8-0 win over the Eagles at Berea, Ky.

Alice Lloyd was unable to locate Blair’s pitches during the game as she tossed a no-hitter, striking out seven batters and walking three. She got Morgan Albury to fly out for the final out of the game.

Blair, Lillian Setters, Kourtney Parker and Mercedes Stanfield led lead BC as they combined for 10 hits and six RBIs.

Game 2

Berea 6; ALC-0

The Eagles lost 6-0 to Berea College Sunday at Berea despite Chloe Johnson’s two-hit day at the plate.

The Mountaineers Chelsey Parsons, Cheyanna Johnson and Kourtney Parker combined for five hits and two RBIs.

BC broke the contest open in the fifth with four runs on a string of singles and made the lead stand up.
