Kansas City, Mo.: The NAIA has announced that 121 Women’s Tennis student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Alice Lloyd College standouts Lydia Harris and Rebekah Bevins have both been named as recipients of this prestigious honor.
In Men’s Golf, 133 student-athletes have been named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Alice Lloyd College senior standout Casey Dalton has been chosen as a member of the select group.
In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
Bevins, a native of Logan, W.Va. and graduate of Logan High School, has maintained a 3.75 GPA at ALC where she is a Business major. Bevins is the daughter of Gene and Teresa Bevins.

Harris, a native of Manchester, KY, is a graduate of Clay County High School and has maintained a 3.61 GPA at ALC where she is majoring in Biology. She is the daughter of Clint and Malvery Harris.

Dalton, a native of Nancy, KY and graduate of Pulaski-Southwestern High School, has maintained a 3.58 GPA as a Social Studies major. He is the son of Danny and Sharon Dalton.
