Greetings from Dean Clark

Welcome to The June Buchanan School website!

The June Buchanan School is a small, private, Christian-based, K-12 college preparatory school located on the campus of Alice Lloyd College. We offer eastern Kentucky children a strong academic foundation in a small classroom setting that will prepare them for success in all areas of life. We are unique in that we require all students in grades 6-12 to complete 15 hours of community service each school year.

A June Buchanan student receives many advantages. They have the opportunity to take college level classes through the ALC Caney Honors and Achievement Program (CHAP). JBS students can earn up to 60 college credit hours through ALC. JBS students also may compete in KHSAA sanctioned athletics. Furthermore, they may join our speech or academic teams. If they enjoy the arts, they may elect to audition for parts in the College’s theatrical productions or become a member of the ACE (Arts & Cultural Enrichment) Club. We feel that a June Buchanan student will graduate with the skills necessary to not only succeed in college, but also in life.

I hope that you will continue to explore our website and learn more about the great opportunities JBS provides for our students. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to visit our school. Our doors are always open!

Sincerely,

Amanda Clark, Dean of The June Buchanan School
