Alice Lloyd College is saddened to announce the passing of longtime staff member Diamond Slone Jr. Diamond served Alice Lloyd College for over thirty years in the maintenance department. Diamond also previously served as the chief of the Pippa Passes Volunteer Fire Department. Throughout his time at ALC, Diamond was known not only for his exceptional work ethic but also for his dedication to the students, faculty, and staff. Diamond shared a smile and a kind word with everyone he encountered.
The entire Alice Lloyd College family is heartbroken by the loss of one of its own. The sincere support from students, faculty, staff, and friends during this time reflects Diamond’s lasting impact on those who knew him.
Hindman Funeral Services in Hindman, Kentucky, will conduct the funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th, at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the same location on Wednesday, March 19th, at 11:00 a.m.
