Alice Lloyd College is excited to welcome students back from Christmas break! Despite the snow and ice, ALC students were able to register and return for the 2025 Spring Semester, which officially kicked off on Monday, January 13th.
The College’s winter student workers, faculty, and staff did a wonderful job removing snow and ice from Purpose Road and making sure students were able to complete registration before classes began on Tuesday, January 14th. In preparation for the wintry weather, ALC opened registration on Thursday, Friday, and Monday to ensure students had ample opportunities to register. Students were also able to move into the dormitories early also so students could avoid driving in slippery conditions over the weekend. Students were able to stay warm in the dorms and receive a hot meal from the Hunger Din.
During registration, students received their schedules for the upcoming semester and new, full-time students received an iPad courtesy of the College through the iPurpose initiative. This technology provides ALC students with an invaluable educational tool to help them pursue their degrees. Upon successful program completion/graduation, students may keep their iPads to assist them in graduate programs or careers after ALC.
We are blessed to welcome our students back for another semester and cannot wait to see what the new year has in store!
Students, the Hunger Din cafeteria is back on its regular schedule and reminds you of the continual feeding program. Need a snack between meal times? Want to grab a quick refreshment? Swing by the Hunger Din and take advantage of this program which will keep the Din’s doors open between normal meal times. Also, there will be no classes on Monday, January 20th, and offices will be closed. The Hunger Din will be open for a regular weekend schedule, and will be open Monday to serve Brunch/Lunch 11am-12pm and Dinner from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
