Last week in Pippa Passes, after a wonderful summer break, Alice Lloyd College excitedly welcomed students back to campus to start the fall semester of classes! Students are back and participating in classes, work study, and athletic practices.

On Saturday, August 12th, returning students moved in, and new students moved in on the 13th. Students were welcomed back with games, an ice cream social, and s’mores. Monday the 14th was a busy day as students completed registration and settled into the dorms. After a Hunger Din hosted cookout, students attended a Student Work Program meeting and the President’s Reception.

The remainder of the week was filled with student activities as students began classes on Tuesday, the 15th and Wednesday, the 16th. On the 15th, games and a cookout were held in the Davis Student Center Meadow starting at 5 pm. The annual John Mills Comedy/Variety Show followed in the Campbell Arts Center from 7-8:30 pm.

At 7 pm on Wednesday the 16th, Eagle Park hosted Kona Ice and many students stayed afterwards around for praise and worship. An All Sports Meeting took place for athletes and coaches on Thursday, the 17th followed by Joseph Young’s Magic Show in the Campbell Arts Center.
