On Thursday, July 20, Alice Lloyd College was pleased to host former president and current Board of Trustees member Dr. Jerry Davis. Dr. Davis and his wife, Shirley, came to tour recently completed and ongoing projects on campus. Since 2017, the College has undergone upwards of $50 million in projects and renovations on Caney Creek.

Dr. Davis served as president from 1977 – 1988. During his tenure, ALC transitioned to a 4-year institution in 1982 and established The June Buchanan School in 1983. After leaving ALC, Dr. Davis served as president of College of the Ozarks until his retirement in 2022.

ALC will welcome Dr. Davis and Shirley again on Tuesday, September 26, for “100 Years on Caney Creek:  A Centennial Celebration with Dr. Jerry Davis” to commemorate the long and rich history of Alice Lloyd College.
