Alice Lloyd College had five students participate in the 2022 PBL National Leadership Conference hosted in Chicago, Illinois. The competition took place June 24-27th, where students Brittany Taylor, Misty Wooton, Haley Hurd, Peyton Sexton, and Kennedy Bowen competed in separate categories against students from across the nation. Brittany Taylor and Misty Wooton placed 7th in Digital Media, Peyton Sexton placed 7th in Microeconomics, and ALC’s PBL Chapter ranked 3rd in Community Service Project.

Outside the competition, students also got to sightsee around Chicago, such as visiting Cloud Gate and the Chicago Art Museum, where they saw works by Van Gogh, Monet, and Picasso. Faculty Advisor over PBL, Denise Jacobs, stated, “Our students worked very hard throughout the past two semesters to reach their goal and were well prepared on all aspects including professional dress, as they participate in that every Tuesday during the semester. It was an overall great experience for our students, and we want to thank the Administration for their continued support of our PBL chapter.” The College would like to congratulate all students for their accomplishments this year in ALC’s PBL Chapter!
