GREENVILLE, SC- The NCCAA DI Mideast Region has just announced its DI Men’s Basketball All-Region Team for the 2021-2022 season.
The voting was conducted by the coaches of each member school in the region. The Player of the Year is also announced. This is presented to the player who received the highest vote total in the region. This year’s winner was Nick Fort of Asbury University.
The Alice Lloyd Eagles were well represented as the region’s top-ranked squad placed five players in the top ten. Senior guard Noah Young, junior forward Will Philpot, and sophomore forward Damon Tobler all made the 1st Team squad while sophomore guard/forward Ben Soumahoro and junior guard Bryce Slone both received 2nd Team honors
The Coach of the Year is also announced. This is presented to the coach of the regional championship squad. This year’s winner was Scott Cornett of Alice Lloyd College
