Pippa Passes, KY: On November 30, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles hosted the Midway University Lady Eagles. In a high-scoring affair, the visitors prevailed, 100-94.

In the opening period, MU drilled four trifectas and poured in 28 points. ALC saw freshman forward Madison Thompson respond with 8 points of her own, but the hosts trailed 28-22 after one period.

The Central Kentucky Eagles would continue to roll in the second quarter as they rammed in 6 more long bombs. Pippa Passes senior guard Haley Hall would pump in 9 points, but Midway would take a solid 56-42 advantage at intermission.

As the third period began, ALC would ride the hot-hand of sophomore guard Hannah Malcomson to eat into the deficit. Malcomson would pour in 11 of her teams 26 points as ALC trimmed the margin down 77-68 entering the final period.

In the closing ten minutes, the Caney Creek club got a combined 17 points from Hall and senior center Alexandria Clifton and would get as close as two points (96-94) with .46 remaining on a Clifton power move. Unfortunately, Midway would sink four big free throws to close the contest out.

For Alice Lloyd (5-4; 1-2 RSC), Hall and Clifton led the way with 21 and 20 points, respectively. Malcomson and Thompson were close behind with 15 and 14 apiece.

Thompson recorded a double-double as she snagged 14 rebounds. She also added four blocks. Senior guard Hannah Kash chipped in 12 points and led with eight assists and four steals.

ALC finished shooting 47.1% (32-64) from the field and 26.1% (6-23) from long range. They connected on 88.9% (24-27) from the charity line while adding 42 rebounds, 19 assists, eight steals, and seven blocks.

MU (7-4;3-0 RSC) was paced by Dezeree White with 27 points. Her squad finished shooting 41.7% (30-72) from the field and 27.8% (10-36) from behind the arc. From the foul line, they finished 30-41 for 73.2%. They also added 46 rebounds, 15 assists, and nine steals.

The Lady Eagles host Emory & Henry on Thursday at 6:00 pm and will return to River States Conference action for a big contest at home against Oakland City University. Tip-off is set for 3:00 pm.
