MIDDLETOWN, Ohio — Alice Lloyd (Ky.) College forward Damon Tobler averaged 16.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in two games to pick up River States Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Nov. 15-21.
Tobler, a 6-4 sophomore from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, led the Eagles to a 2-0 week in RSC play. He first had 20 points and 11 rebounds in a 75-74 win at IU Southeast. Then in a 73-63 win at IU Kokomo, he had 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Tobler shot 60 percent for the week (12 for 20) and was 3 for 6 from long range and 6 for 8 from the foul line. The double-double at IU Southeast featured 7 for 11 shooting overall and 5 for 6 on free throws.
Alice Lloyd is 6-0 overall, 2-0 RSC, and will host Carolina University on Nov. 23.
