We award the ALC Men’s Student-Athlete of the Week honor to sophomore forward Damon Tobler.

Tobler helped the Eagles open up conference play on a good note as the club secured two road wins.

In the 75-74 victory at IU Southeast, the Philadelphia PA (Hazard High School) native recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 63.6% (7-11; 1-3 3FG) from the field and 83.3% (5-6) from the charity stripe. In addition, he added 2 assists, including assisting on the last-second shot that won the game.

Tobler followed that up in the 73-63 win at IU Kokomo by scoring 13 points while sinking 55.6% (5-9 FG; 2-3 3FG) from the floor, 1-2 free throws, and grabbing 8 rebounds. He added 2 assists and 3 steals as well.

On the week, he averaged 16.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game on 60% field goal shooting, 50%: (3-6) 3FG) and 75% (6-8) from the free-throw line. Additionally, he averaged 2 assists and 1.5 steals.

For his effort, the River States Conference also selected him as the River States Conference Player of the Week.

ALC is currently undefeated at 6-0 and 2-0 in the RSC.
