The challenging run, featured NCAA DI, NCAA DIII, NAIA, and NCCAA level runners, with 43 individuals from seven different schools competing, plus several unattached participants.
When the dust had settled, Alice Lloyd finished 2nd of the 4 participating teams. They were led by junior Carlee Salyers in a solid time of 21:15, good enough for 7th place. She was followed by freshman Susann Moore, who crossed the line in 13th position with a time of 21:26. The next three finishers were senior Brooke Vanover (22:40), sophomore Sarah Cecil (22:53), and senior Abigail Webb (23:41).
In addition, giving great effort to the cause, were junior Cara Acey (24:15), along with freshmen Kaitlyn Ratliff (25:20), and Olivia Inskeep (25:35).
Alice Lloyd will return to action on October 2nd, as both women and men’s squads travel to Louisville, Ky. to participate in the Greater Louisville Classic, one of the country’s top meets.
