GREENVILLE, SC- The NCCAA has just announced its national softball awards for the 2020-21 season. Alice Lloyd College Eagle sophomore Lyndsey Adkins was selected as an elite NCCAA Women’s Second Team All-American. Each squad contained 12 players.

Adkins helped lead her club to a school-record 26 wins and the school’s first-ever appearance in the NCCAA National Softball World Series. On the season, the shortstop batted .420 with a slugging percentage over .700. She led the NCCAA in RBI’s (65) and runs scored (53). She also finished second in hits, doubles, triples, and at-bats.

In addition, senior Jada Estep was named to the All-Tournament Team during the National Tournament. For the year, the left-fielder finished second nationally in hits and triples and tied for 4th in home runs.

Lastly, Estep was also named as NCCAA Scholar-Athlete. To receive this, the individual must be a junior academically and maintain at least a 3.4 cumulative GPA.
