Alice Lloyd College is pleased to announce commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 will be held in person. In order to maintain proper social distancing among the graduates and guests, two ceremonies will take place on Saturday, April 24th, in the Perry Campus Center. Graduates will be limited to five guests, and masks must be worn at all times. Family units are also asked to maintain six feet of distance between other families.  A ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. for May 2020 graduates and November 2020 graduates.  A ceremony for 2021 graduates will take place at 12:00 p.m. Both ceremonies will be live-streamed for friends and family that are unable to attend through Hometown 24. DVDs will also be available for purchase.

Alice Lloyd College’s Academic Dean, Claude “Lafie” Crum, is excited to hold an in-person ceremony. “Celebrating the accomplishments of our graduates is very important to us. We feel that holding two separate ceremonies and limiting the number of guests will ensure that we have a safe, socially distant celebration for our graduates. We are also happy to be able to finally provide an in-person commencement for our 2020 graduates.”

Graduates must contact Dean Crum with their list of guests no later than April 10th, 2021.
