GREENVILLE, SC- The NCCAA has just announced its national awards for the 2020-21 season. Alice Lloyd College Eagle guard Haley Hall was selected as an elite NCCAA Division I Women’s First Team All-American.
The senior from Grayson, Kentucky, had an exceptional season. Despite Covid costing the squad at least 10 games, she led the Lady Eagles to an 11-7 record and a berth in the NCCAA DI National Tournament. Once there, her dominant performance propelled them all the way to the National Championship, a first in school history.
In the national tournament, she went on an incredible run. In the 85-67 quarter-final victory over #5 Ecclesia (AR), Hall tossed in 26 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished off 8 assists, and had 2 steals. She followed up that performance in the 72-69 semi-final upset over #1 Southwestern Christian University (OK), by pumping in 22 points, snaring 7 rebounds, handing off 4 assists, nabbing 3 steals, and even registering 1 block. Then, in the 67-52 championship victory over #2 University of Northwestern (MN), the senior pumped in 29 points, grabbed 8 boards, and gained 1 assist and 1 steal.
Over the entire tournament, Hall blistered the nets to the tune of 25.6 ppg while shooting 50% from the field (23-46), 57.8% from long range (11-19), and 95.2% from the charity stripe (20-21). She stuffed the stat sheet as she also averaged 7.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2 steals per night. She was also named to the all-tournament squad.
She finished the year averaging 19.3 ppg, (3rd in the NCCAA), while connecting on 44% from the floor, 38% from long distance, and 82% from the charity line. Additionally, she led the club in assists at 3.8 apg and steals with 2.05 spg. She was also second on the team in rebounds at 4.83 rpg.
Furthermore, she was also selected by the Mideast Region as a First Team All-Region selection and by the NAIA’s River States Conference as a First Team All-Conference selection for the third consecutive year.
She also has now scored 1,727 points over her career and currently carries a 3.47 GPA
