Greenville, SC: The NCCAA has announced that both the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles and Alice Lloyd College Eagles will be the Mideast Region representatives to the 2021 NCCAA Women’s/ Men’s Basketball National Championships, which will be held March 17th-20th in Winona Lake, Indiana. This year’s host is Grace College, Indiana, and all games will be held in the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center. The pairings will be announced on Sunday, March 14th.

Despite losing half of their games due to COVID, Lady Eagles’ coach, John Mills, saw his squad battle all season. His club enters the NCCAA Nationals currently ranked 7th in the nation. The Pippa Passes club currently holds an 8-7 record and was rewarded for their challenging schedule.

Coach Scott Cornett’s Eagles currently sport a record of 17-6, which was the best record in the River States Conference this season. ALC enters the NCCAA Nationals currently ranked 7th in the nation and were rewarded for their outstanding year.

This makes the second consecutive year the two squads have achieved this goal. Last season, both squads were the Mideast Regional Champions, but the entire tournament was canceled due to the COVID outbreak. This year, spectators are permitted, but capacity is limited. To ensure entrance, review the tickets & spectator policies and purchase your ticket in advance online.
