Richmond, KY: The 2021 ALC Spring Invitational at Battlefield Golf Course in Richmond, KY is in the books. Nine teams competed on the men’s side along with six teams on the women’s side. In addition,18 players competed as individuals. 

A strong Shawnee State team won the men’s championship shooting 282/302. BJ Knox of Shawnee State shot a record 64 in the first round followed by a 68 in the second round for a sizzling 132.

On the women’s side, UPike ran away with the tournament, shooting 330/351 for 681. Boo Newsome of UPike shot 75/77 for 252 for a 19-stroke win.

For the event, that featured a field of 53 participants ALC golfers did well. Mason Compton shot 70/73 for 143 to finish tied for 5th, which gave him all-tournament honors. Korey Hanson had his best results to date as an Eagle golfer, shooting 77/81, for a score of 159; this tied him for 27th.

In addition, Hayden Halbert shot 86/93 to finish 47th, while Matthew Henson shot 92/93 for 185 and T50th.
