We split the Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor between Dryden, Virginia, senior cross country runner Ryan Morris and Corbin, Kentucky, junior hoopster Chandler Stewart. We also wish to recognize the entire Eagles Cross Country squad.
In the NCCAA DII National Cross Country Championship held in Joplin, Missouri, Morris broke the school record by finishing the course in a blistering 27:21. This finish earned him fourth place overall and won him a spot on the NCCAA DII All-American Team. This is the second consecutive year he has been so honored.
Also, we recognize the entire men’s cross country squad for their Second Place Team Finish in the NCCAA DII Men’s Cross Country National Championship.
