Rio Grande, OH: On September 30th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball team traveled to Ohio to face a solid club from Rio Grande University. The match was close early before the home club pulled away. They would then seal the victory in Game 3.

In Game 1, the two squads battled at a tight clip early as neither could gain the upper hand. However, at the halfway point, Rio went on a nice run and closed the set to win 25-17.
In Game 2, the hosts led early, and steadily pulled away from there to take the contest, 25-14.
In Game 3, the Red Storm determined to end the match and built a gradual lead on their way to the clinching 25-14 score.
On the day, sophomores Adrianna Riley and Jenni Droke led ALC with 3 assists each while freshman Brooklyn Cheek and sophomore Reiley McCoy led in kills with 6 and 5 respectively. Droke tied freshman Caroline Parsons in digs, both with 9. Riley had 3 aces and Richardson recorded 3 blocks.
Alice Lloyd (2-9) returns to play this Saturday when they travel to Johnson University (TN) to face Johnson along with powerful Bob Jones University (SC) in a tri-match.
