Knoxville, TN: On Saturday, October 3rd, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball squad traveled to the Volunteer state to face home-standing Johnson University and powerful Bob Jones University (SC).

In the opening game, the Eagles gave a great effort before bowing 25-19. In game 2, ALC scrapped but came up short, 25-14. In game 3, the two clubs fought hard before Bob Jones pulled away for the 25-17 win.
On the day for ALC, sophomore Reiley McCoy led with 5 kills. Fellow sophomore Jenni Droke contributed 20 digs to the club. Freshman Caroline Parsons recorded 9 assists, while sophomore Callie Richardson led the squad with 4 blocks.

In the second match, the Eagles battled hard in Game 1 before JU took over late to win 25-18. In Game 2, the hosts steadily moved ahead to win with a 25-14 victory. In Game 3, Johnson grabbed the early advantage and extended it for the solid 25-13 win.
On the day for ALC, sophomore Reiley McCoy led with 8 kills while classmate Jenni Droke contributed 18 digs to the club. Freshman Caroline Parsons recorded 7 assists, while sophomore Callie Richardson led the squad with 3 blocks,
ALC returns home this Tuesday when they host Midway. The match begins at 5 pm.
