Pippa Passes, KY: On September 17th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball team played host to a steady club from Asbury University. The match was close throughout before the visitors would seal the victory in a come-from-behind win in Game 3.

In Game 1, the two squads battled at a tight clip as neither could gain the upper hand. However, Asbury broke away late from a 20-19 lead to win 25-20. In Game 2, the visitors grabbed a quick lead and held it throughout. ALC kept the score close, but the visiting Eagles prevailed 25-17.

In must-win Game 3, the Pippa Passes Lady Eagles fought ferociously. With the score knotted at 10-10, Alice Lloyd grabbed a small lead and managed to maintain it. The hosts appeared to be in good shape when they led 21-18, but the visiting squad managed three consecutive kills to switch the momentum. They would then close out the night, 25-21.

On the day for the home team, sophomore Adrianna Riley led the squad with 11 assists while freshman Caroline Parsons added 7. Sophomore Jenni Droke and Parsons each had 5 digs while freshman Pauline Tolintino and junior Kimberly Lee were right behind, each with 4. Sophomore Reiley McCoy led the club in kills with 5.

The squad returns to action this Saturday, September 19th when they travel to Midway for a 2pm matchup.
