Mount Hope, WV: On Tuesday, September 15th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball team journeyed to the Mountaineer state to face NCCAA Mideast Region foe Appalachian Bible College. After the dust settled, the ladies from Pippa Passes had earned a nice 3-1 victory.

The visitors fell behind in every game but refused to back down. In the end, ALC would come back to win in four sets.
ABC roared out of the gates in game 1 for a quick lead, only to see the Lady Eagles race back with a huge run and take the opener 25-14. The hosts would then jump ahead quickly in set 2, only to see history repeat itself as Alice Lloyd battled back once more to win 25-17. The third game was a blowout early as Appalachian Bible exploded ahead 11-1. However, they were forced to withstand a furious rally from the Lady Eagles before finally prevailing, 25-23. Game 4 was a broken record for the Caney Creek club as they were forced to play from behind once again. Fortunately, they would come all the way back to close out the match, 25-21.
On the day for the victors (2-3), Adrianna Riley and Caroline Parsons led in the assist column with 18 and 17 respectively. Mckenzie Brewer and Sierra Dawson recorded 16 digs each while Pauline Tolintino added 13. Dawson and Brooklyn Cheek paved the way in kills with 13 and 11 respectively.
The squad returns home on Thursday, September 17th when they face the Asbury University Lady Eagles at 7 pm in the Perry Campus Center.
