Pippa Passes, KY: David Hatfield has been named as the new Director of Athletics at Alice Lloyd College. He will replace Gary D. Stepp who has served the previous 12 years in that capacity. Hatfield was the acting Assistant AD during the current school year.
In discussing the change, Scott Cornett, the Vice President for Student Services, replied, “We are very excited that David Hatfield will take over as our new Athletic Director. He possesses an outstanding work ethic and has a good knowledge for the position. I feel confident that he will continue the outstanding work that our former Director of Athletics, Gary D. Stepp, has done.”
Cornett went on to add, “Coach Stepp will continue to remain heavily involved in our athletic department, as he will still serve as our Sports Information Director, as well as the Associate Head Men’s Basketball Coach.”
