Greenville, SC: In keeping with the decision to render a ruling on Spring events on or before March 27, the NCCAA Administration Committee approved the cancellation of all Spring Championships today due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19 and the CDC’s recommendation that events of 50 people or more should not be held for the next eight weeks. The NCCAA will be reviewing the possibility of Spring student-athletes receiving an additional season of competition later this week.
“Once again, we are put in a position to make decisions never required within intercollegiate athletics before and everyone is doing the very best they can with these issues that impact so many,” stated NCCAA Executive Director Dan Wood. “Our prayers are with our world and nation as we all migrate through these challenging and unprecedented days. May God be our guide and strength!”
The NCCAA will share new information as it becomes available.
