GREENVILLE, SC- The NCCAA has just announced its national awards for the 2019-20 season. Alice Lloyd College Eagle guard Blake Smith was selected as an elite NCCAA Division I First Team All-American. This makes the second consecutive year he has received this honor.

The athletic 6’3 senior from Manchester, Kentucky, had an exceptional season as he led the Eagles to the NCCAA Mideast Region Championship title and a berth in the NCCAA DI National Tournament.

He finished the year averaging 26.3 ppg, which led all NCCAA schools in scoring while connecting on 46.6 % from the floor and 37.1% from long distance. The senior also sank 76.8% from the free-throw line. Additionally, he added 4.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and finished first on the club in steals and second in blocks.

The guard scored 40 points twice and scored at least 30 points on eleven different occasions. His rebound and assist game-highs were both 10.

In addition, Smith also finished tied for first in voting for NCCAA Mid-East Regional Player of the Year and was named First Team All-Conference by the NAIA River States Conference for the second consecutive year.

Furthermore, he was just selected by the NAIA as a DII Third Team All-American.

He also concludes his career as the second all-time leading scorer in school history, with 2,304 points.

Smith is a Kinesiology major with set to graduate in May 2020.
