Senior guard Blake Smith had a fantastic week in leading the Eagles to a conference split on the road.
In a match-up at Ohio Christian University, he lifted the Eagles to a 78-66 victory by leading all scorers with 34 point on 15-23 field goals (2-4 3FGs). He completed the double-double as he grabbed 10 rebounds. Additionally, he added 3 assists.
In a tough 86-78 defeat at Eastern Division leading IU East, he once again led all scorers with 28 points on 11-23 field goals and 1-1 3FG. He added 3 assists and 2 steals.
For the week, he averaged 31 points on 56.5% field goal shooting (including 60%from long range) while adding 7.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
For his effort, he was also just named River States Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
