Midway, KY: On Tuesday, October 29th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball team played at Midway University.  The Eagles had a rough night as they fell in straight sets. Below is a summary of the contest.

The hosts looked solid in set 2 and battled to a quick lead. They then closed out the game to win 25-9. In the opening game, the two squads battled before Midway pulled away to win 25-13. In set 3, MC played with fire in their eyes and sprinted to a 10-3 advantage on their way to a commanding 25-7 victory.

On the day for the Lady Eagles, senior Samantha Sturgill led the way in assists (11) and tied freshman Jenni Droke for the lead in digs with 6. Senior Haley Smith added 5 digs to the effort. Freshmen Jasmin Hamilton (6), Reiley McCoy (4) and Callie Richardson (4) paved the way in kills. The Lady Eagles (8-9) return to action this Saturday when they host Boyce College for two games at 11:00 am.
