Pippa Passes, KY: On November 2, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball team hosted Boyce Bible College for two games. Coach Nathan Hall’s squad jumped out to a good start in each match against their fellow Mideast Regional member and earned the big sweep.

ALC led from start to finish. In the first game, the visitors battled hard, but the Lady Eagles would seize control and gradually increase their lead until the very end, 25-18.

The Eagles looked solid in set 2 as they pulled ahead on their way to the 25-15 decision.

In the third set, Alice Lloyd would face a challenge from the Bulldogs, but the host club won 25-17. On the day for the victors, Samantha Sturgill led the squad with 23 assists. Jasmin Hamilton topped in kills with 7 and was closely followed by Lindsey Perkins with 6 and Callie Richardson with 5. AJ Riley paved the way in digs with 12 while Haley Smith (10) and Sturgill 6) made nice contributions. Smith also had 6 aces to lead in that department.

ALC took command from the opening serve. In the first game, the hosts jumped out to an early lead and steadily increased it until the very end, 25-12.

The Eagles looked dominant in set 2 as they roared out in shocking form on their way to the 25-3 decision. In the third set, Alice Lloyd was determined to finish the match as they raced out to a huge lead and won going away, 25-10.

On the day for the victors, Sturgill led the squad with 11 assists. Perkins and Richardson topped in kills with 6 and were closely followed by Hamilton with 4. McKenzie Brewer paved the way in digs with 22 while Sturgill and Riley followed with 12 and 8 respectively. Jenni Droke (4), Smith (3) and Riley (3) led in aces.
