Powell, TN: On October 8, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles volleyball team journeyed to the Volunteer State to face home-standing Crown College. Coach Nathan Hall’s squad jumped out to a good start in each game against their USCAA opponent to earn their third victory in the past four games.

ALC (7-7) led from start to finish. In the first game, the visitors jumped out to an early lead and gradually pulled away until the very end, 25-13.

The Eagles looked solid in game 2 as they roared out to a quick cushion on their way to the convincing 25-10 decision.

In the third set, Alice Lloyd was determined to finish the match in straight sets. The home-town Crusaders battled, but ALC maintained their advantage to earn the win, 25-18.

On the day for the victors, Samantha Sturgill led the squad with 24 assists.

 Callie Richardson topped in kills with 11 and was closely followed by Lindsey Perkins and Riley McCoy, both with 7.

 AJ Riley paved the way in digs with 18 while Haley Smith and Jenni Droke chipped in with 11 apiece. Kenzie Slone added 9 to the Eagles cause.
