We award the Men’s Student-Athlete of the Week honor to Prestonsburg, Kentucky, junior golfer Reece Ison for his outstanding week on the links.
In the challenging NCCAA Mid-East Region Tournament held on September 23/24th, he finished just 3 strokes off the leader by shooting a 70/73. His second-place overall finish qualifies him for the upcoming NCCAA Nationals in Palm Coast Florida, which makes him the first golfer in school history to qualify for the nationals.
Ison followed that up on September 28/29th by winning the University of Pikeville Invitational by 4 strokes, as he again shot a 70/73.
