Columbia, KY: The ALC men’s golf team participated in the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raider Fall Kickoff golf tournament at The Pines of Lindsey Wilson Golf Course in Columbia, Kentucky, on September 16th and 17th. Conditions were very hot, dry, and dusty. The golf course was in great shape considering the weather and Lindsey Wilson College was a great host.
For the two-day event, ALC played well, shooting 311, 315 for a 626, but unfortunately in this tough field, that score was good for 10th out of 10. The Eagles finished five shots behind West Virginia Tech. Campbellsville University fired two rounds of 281 for a 6 under par 562 total to win the tournament.
For Alice Lloyd, team captain Aaron Minor led Eagle golfers with a 76/74 for 150. Reece Ison fired 75/76 for 151. Brit Bowling shot 77/78 for 155. Hayden Halbert shot 88 and Matthew Henson shot 93 in the second round for their best competitive rounds.
Next up for Eagles golfers is the NCCAA Mideast regional tournament at the Oak Ridge Country Club in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on September 23rd and24th.
