Oak Ridge, TN: The NCCAA Mideast Regional Golf Tournament was played at Oak Ridge Country Club in Oak Ridge, Tennesse, on September 23rd and 24th.

The tournament was hosted by Campbellsville University, who did a fantastic job.  The Oak Ridge Country Club is one of the best courses you will find anywhere. The weather was good, as it was sunny and hot both days.

Five teams took to the links seeking to represent the region in the nationals next month: Campbellsville University, Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg, Kentucky Christian University, Oakland City University, and Alice Lloyd College.

When the dust had settled, Campbellsville University played dominate golf both rounds to win the tournament by 50 strokes over team runner up ALC and earn the regional bid.

Landon Connor of Campbellsville shot two rounds of two under par 70 for a score of four under par 140 to win the event.

Alice Lloyd College junior Reece Ison played exceptional as well, finishing just three strokes back at 143, to earn second place overall.

Brit Bowling shot 80/76 for 156, good for 10th place among the 22 golfers who finished the event. Isaiah Penley shot 82 both rounds for a 164, good for 15th place.

As the player with the lowest individual score who is not on the winning team, Ison qualifies for the NCCAA Nationals at the Hammock Beach Resort in Florida on October 21st – 23rd, 2019.
