Greenville, SC: Carlee Salyers Named NCCAA DII Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.
Alice Lloyd College freshman Carlee Salyers pulled away from the pack of 49 runners to win the Rio Grande Invitational in a season-best time of 20:45. She defeated her closest competitor by 11 seconds in this 5k race to earn her second victory of the season.
Her time automatically qualifies her for the NCCAA DII National Tournament scheduled for November in Point Lookout, Missouri.
