Taylors, SC – The ALC men’s golf team participated in their first event of the season at the Bob Jones Bruins Classic at the Pebble Creek Country Club in Taylors, SC. Conditions were good for the practice round and the first round, but the second round was suspended after two holes because of heavy rains. Bob Jones University and the Pebble Creek Country Club did a great job hosting the tournament.
As the event got underway, every one of the teams involved struggled with the challenging Linkside course, with Bob Jones University leading after the first round with 339. The Eagle golfers managed a 355 the first round and were only 6 shots behind second-place West Virginia Tech after day one.

Alice Lloyd started the second round very strong with 8 pars in the first two holes and were looking to move up in the standings when play was unfortunately suspended due to a deluge of rain.
Minor was tied for first place and playing very solid golf when the event was halted, however, his overall second-place finish earned him all-tournament honors. The team finished 3rd of the 5 clubs involved.
