The ALC men’s golf team played in two tournaments over the last 4 days. On the weekend, the Eagles played in the Kentucky Christian Fall Invitational at the Hidden Cove Golf Course in the Grayson Lakes State Park. It was very rainy, and the tournament had to be shortened to 27 holes due to torrential rains on Sunday. Eagles golfers struggled during the tournament, shooting 336 for the first round and 172 for the 9 holes of the second round for a 27 hole score of 508 to finish 6th of 7 teams. Eagles golfers were led by team captain Aaron Minor, who shot 78/40 for 118 over the 27 holes to finish 13th of 38 golfers. University of Rio Grande won the tournament shooting 458, 7 strokes better than runner-up University of Pikeville. Roger Maynard of Pikeville was the medalist, shooting even par 108.  Results of the tournament are published here.

Eagles golfers then came home to play the ALC Fall Invitational at Stonecrest. The weather was cool, with light rain on Saturday. Eagles golfers played much better on Monday and Tuesday, posting their best round ever with a 308 the first round. They followed this with a solid round of 318 for 626 to finish 3rd of 4 teams. Aaron Minor shot 72/76 to finish second to University of Pikeville’s Roger Maynard, who shot 71/71. Reece Ison was third, shooting 74/75.
