We award the Eagles Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor to sophomore first baseman Samantha Sturgill.
Sturgill, a native of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, was effective with the bat in the doubleheader against NCAA DIII foe, Berea College. In game one, she went 1-2 at the plate. In the second contest, she went 2-3, scored a run for the Lady Eagles, and drew a walk.
On the day, she batted .600 (3-5) with 1 run scored.
