Cincinnati, OH: The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles continued their winning ways with a come-from-behind 64-58 victory over the Cincinnati Christian University Lady Eagles. The contest was played on February 13th and marked the sixth straight victory for the women from Caney Creek.

In the first period, Alice Lloyd got off to a poor start as the fired-up hosts were clicking on both ends. CCU led 23-10 after one quarter. In the second quarter, ALC turned the tables and held the home club to just 6 points while pumping in 21 of their own. This burst gave the visiting Eagles a 31-29 lead at intermission. The third period saw the momentum swing once more as Cincinnati Christian outscored their foes 15-8. The home fans were excited to see there club enter the final ten minutes with a 44-39 cushion as an upset appeared in the making.

Alice Lloyd said enough is enough in the last stanza as freshman guard Haley Hall and freshman center Alexandria Clifton made big plays. With clutch leadership from the twins, senior guards Miranda Wilson and Kayla Wilson, Alice Lloyd would regain the lead and hold on till the final buzzer sounded.

For the victors (21-4; 14-3 RSC), Hall led all scorers, and registered a double-double, with 18 points and 12 rebounds. She added 3 assists. Clifton was right behind with 15 points and 4 rebounds. Miranda Wilson added 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists while Kayla Wilson contributed 10 points, 7 rebounds, 6 big steals, and 2 assists.

The victors shot a season-low 29% (20-69) from the floor and 22.7 (5-22) from long range. They finished at 79.2% (19-24 from the charity line, while adding 39 rebounds, 11 assists, and 10 steals.

CCU (5-21; 3-13 RSC) was led on the night by forward Bryanna Bransford with 12 points. Her squad shot 34.5% (20-58) from the field and 33.3% (7-21) from deep. They finished at 91.7% (11-12) from the charity stripe, while adding 41 rebounds and 12 assists, but 0 steals.

ALC returns to action on Saturday, February 17 when they return home for an important RSC conference showdown with second place Indiana University Kokomo on senior day. Tipoff is set for 1:00 pm.

The Lady Eagles will open up RSC Tournament play with quarterfinal action on Wednesday, February 21 at home. The opponent will not be determined until the final standings are locked in this weekend.
