We award the Eagles Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor to standout senior guard Miranda Wilson
Wilson, a native of Corbin, Kentucky, was spectacular in her clubs two conference wins this week. In the 89-75 win against CCU, she finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. In the huge 85-84 overtime win at IUK, she had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds while adding 7 assists, and 6 big steals.
For the week, she averaged 18 points and shot over 48% from the floor, 40% from long distance, and 100% from the charity stripe. Wilson also averaged 8.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 4 steals per game. She is currently ranked seventh in the country in both steals and 3pt% and tenth in assists per game. She currently leads the team in scoring, rebounding, steals, and assists.
Miranda was also named NCCAA DI Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week and River States Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
