Gallatin, TN: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles ran their winning streak to four as they outscored NCCAA foe Welch College 54-24 in the second half, and earned an impressive 93-57 victory on Saturday.

In the opening half, the Eagles were somewhat flat and could not pull away from the plucky Flames. Still, ALC was able to manage a 39-33 lead at intermission.

Coming out of the locker room, Alice Lloyd was much more aggressive and used their pressure defense to quickly turn the tide. Over the last twenty minutes, they outscored the Flames by thirty points to earn the 36 point cushion.

For ALC (4-0), they were led in scoring by sophomore guard Blake Smith with 22 points on 8-14 shooting. He was joined in double figures by freshman Timmy Dalton and senior Austin Crisp with 15 and 14 points respectively. The two guards combined to sink 14-21 shots. Crisp led the way with 6 assists. Senior big man Jake Allen recorded his third double-double of the young season with 11 points and 13 boards.

Alice Lloyd did not shoot as well as normal. They sank 45.5% (35-77) from the floor, but finished just 16 % (4-25) from behind the arc. They connected on 65.5% (19-29) from the foul line, and also added 56 rebounds, 20 assists, and 8 steals.

WC (1-4) was led by guard JT Jones with 19 points. His squad finished shooting just 28.8% (19-71) from the floor and 22.6% (7-31) from behind the arc. They shot 63.2% (12-19) from the foul line, and also added 48 rebounds, 14 assists, and 5 steals.

ALC returns to the hardwood this weekend when they travel to Asbury College to participate in the Zweifel/Pritchard Classic. They will play Miami-Middletown on Friday at 4:00 pm and then play Kentucky Christian on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
