WILMORE, KY– The Alice Lloyd College Eagles baseball team traveled to Wilmore on Tuesday to face the University of Asbury Eagles. When the last out was recorded, the home team had earned a 7-1 victory.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third when Asbury scored 3 runs on four hits.

The visiting Eagles answered with a run of their own in the top half of the fourth. Shortstop Alan Silva reached on an error and was driven to third on a hit from third baseman Alex White. Isaac Stephens, the designated hitter, then did his job by driving in Silva.

The hosts would earn the run back one inning later, but put the contest out of reach with a three-run fifth inning.

On the mound, Levi Martin suffered the loss. He threw four innings and allowed five hits and 4 runs. Stephens and Robbie Gaskins both came on in relief.

Conner Byme won the decision as he allowed one hit and 1 run in four innings of work.

ALC had four hits on the day while Asbury smacked ten.
