Lady Eagles Softball Opens Season

The 2010 Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles softball squad began regular season play on March 6 against conference foe, Asbury College. Asbury swept the double-header against the youthful ALC club.{nl}GAME 1{nl}AC-10; ALC-1{nl}Asbury outhit ALC 12-6. Alice Lloyd’s Melissa May and Kayla Gooslin each had 2 hits. Loren Whited suffered the defeat on the mound despite registering 8 strikeouts.{nl}GAME 2AC-15; ALC-1{nl}Four Lady Eagles had one hit each. Losing pitcher Rebecca Compton only gave up 7 hits, but was hurt as 6 errors proved costly.{nl} {nl} {nl}
