Coach John Mills elected to start Whitley Albury for the opening game of the series. This game would turn out to be a pitchers’ duel. The contest was scoreless through five and a half innings. However, in the bottom of the sixth, Carlow scored the first run of the game. Alice Lloyd was able to get a run in the top half of the seventh to extend the game, but unfortunately, The Lady Celtics would score the winning run in the bottom half.

ALC managed to get six base hits, including three hits and an RBI by Kristin Fields.

The Lady Eagles’ starter for game two was Kayla Stambaugh. Alice Lloyd kept it close until the fifth inning when Carlow extended a 2-0  ead by scoring three more to make it 5-0. They would add three more insurance runs the sixth.

It was tough going for ALC in this contest as Whitley Albury produced the team’s only hit of the game.
