Mrs. Amanda Clark, Dean of The June Buchanan School, stated that “We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful school here in the mountains. Not only are the academics stronger than ever, but the environment is one that is built on a strong Christian background. We strive to provide our students with a variety of enrichment classes in Spanish, Physical Education, Art, Music, and Technology because we feel as though all students need to be introduced to more areas than just those of the traditional contained classroom.”
In addition to standard classroom instruction, JBS offers students a wide variety of enrichment classes, including Spanish, art, technology, choir, and physical education. Additionally, students in grades 8-12 are given the opportunity to be part of the Arts and Cultural Enrichment (ACE) Club. This club allows students with exceptionally high GPAs to travel to various enrichment activities (including art museum, Broadway shows, and musical performances) to enhance their educational experience. The JBS community is excited about all of these opportunities students will be receiving in addition to the already solid academic foundation which has been a JBS mainstay since its inception.
