The Alice Lloyd College Softball team traveled to Midway College and Asbury University for 4 games over the weekend. Below are recaps of each game.

March 30

Game 1

Midway 7

The Lady Eagles were only outhit 8-5 as they dropped the opening game. They played very hard, but were never able to get the one key hit they needed to get a rally going. First baseman Nikki Durman paved the way with 2 hits.

Game 2

Midway 7

The Lady Eagles followed a similar pattern in this game as they did in the first one, and it proved to be the difference-maker. The visitors fell behind early by allowing Midway one big inning. Then, the Lady Eagles held Midway scoreless over the last four innings; but, unfortunately, the damage had been done. ALC was also held hitless for the contest.

Asbury 9

The Lady Eagles were outhit 11-3 in the loss and were unable to get the critical hits. Catcher Megan Boswell and second baseman Simbree Sizemore each had a single, while Boswell drove in a run.

Asbury 14

The Lady Eagles were held to three hits in the loss. They played hard but were never able to mount a threat during the five inning contest. First baseman Nikki Durman, shortstop Caitlyn Case, and right fielder Lacinda Hack each had 1 hit.
