The ALC Eagles played host to Tennessee Temple University in three recent contests. Below are recaps of each game.

April 2

The Eagles battled Temple hard. Despite the fact that the visitors outhit their hosts 10-4, ALC managed to pull out the win.

Second baseman Trey King lined a triple and drove in 2 runs, while third baseman Cody Hyden belted a double and drove in 2 runs of his own to pave the way.

Pitcher Ryan Burrow scattered 2 runs over five innings of work to earn the win. Jeff Cyrus allowed just 1 hit over the final two innings to pick up the save.

 

Game 2

The Eagles fell behind 8-4 after two innings as they suffered the setback in game two. The visitors outhit their hosts 11-7.

Center fielder Brandon Arnold led the way with 2 hits, including a double and 1 RBI. Five different Eagles had 1 hit apiece, including Cody Hyden who smashed a triple.

Pitcher Jeff Cyrus suffered the loss in relief despite allowing just 3 hits over five innings of work. He also whiffed 3 Temple batsmen.

The hosts outhit their guests 14-12 to win the rubber match, as ALC came back to win with 4 runs in their last at bat.

Five different Eagles had a multi-hit game. First baseman Shannon Roberts led the way with 3 hits while Trey Minton, Shane Pack, Cody Hyden, and Devon Pelfrey each added two hits to the cause. Minton, Hyden, and Pelfrey, along with Brandon Arnold and Ben Ray all had 2 RBIs in the slugfest.

Ian Delaney, Nathan Bingham, and Trevor Corns all pitched for the victors. Corns tossed nearly 2 innings of hitless ball to earn the win.
